Kimray named among "Best Places to Work in Oklahoma" 5/2/08 Oklahoma City, OK – To the applause of a hall packed with distinguished business leaders, Tom Hill took the stage to receive Kimray’s first “Best Places to Work in Oklahoma” award from OKCBusiness publisher Bill Bleakley. Kimray founder Garman Kimmell, along with other Kimray managers and employees, were also present at the OKCBusiness/ Best Companies Group banquet to celebrate this honor.  Kimray is the sole large manufacturing company selected for the “Best Places” award, and one of four large companies new to the list in 2008. Only one other oil and gas industry company was selected. Kimray ranked fourteenth on the Large Company list. “This award publicly affirms Kimray’s mission to honor the Lord and serve our employees by creating policies and a work environment which builds character, strengthen’s individuals, and nurtures families” says Tom Hill, “I am so grateful Mr. Kimmell could attend this award celebration, and receive recognition for the bold and compassionate way he has done business for 60 years.” 15 small/medium companies and 15 large companies were selected from a sizeable field of candidates. Each company achieved their ranking through competitive scoring, in addition to meeting or exceeding the threshold standards required to be a Best Place to Work in Oklahoma. The rigorous selection process is conducted by the Best Companies Group and includes a policy questionnaire, an extensive employee survey, and is based on tangible data analyzed by an independent research company with expertise in workplace best practices.
