Kimray, Inc. named Metro 50 finalist

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma-owned Kimray, Inc. was recently named a Metro 50 finalist. Founded in 1948, Kimray, Inc. manufactures control valves and related equipment for oil and gas producing companies. The company has about 500 employees working at their 180,000 square-foot facility in Oklahoma City.

The Metro 50 award ranks the metropolitan area's fastest growing, privately-owned companies for the year based on their percentage of annual growth. Qualified companies are required to have revenues of at least $1 million for 2007.

"We have added employee positions every year and our revenue has increased nearly 50 percent in the past two years," said David Hill, vice president of Kimray. "We are honored to be among the most successful and fastest growing companies in Oklahoma City this year, and we look forward to more growth in the future."

Metro 50 companies are recognized by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce for demonstrating positive growth in revenues; growth in the number of employees; creativity/entrepreneurship; and business development through the expansion of facilities, customer base or markets. The 13th annual Metro 50 awards banquet will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Cox Business Services Convention Center.
