Kimray, Inc. announces expansion plans for former Dulaney's Inc. Site

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma-owned Kimray, Inc. recently announced their acquisition of the Dulaney's Inc. building, located just north of Kimray at 100 NW 44th Street in Oklahoma City. The new 90,000 square-foot space will be used as more manufacturing space for Kimray to produce control valves and reated equipment for oil and gas producing companies. Currently, Kimray employs 500 Oklahomans at the 180,000 square-foot manufacturing facility located at 52 NW 42nd Street in Oklahoma City.

"In 2008, we celebrate our 60th anniversary and this acquisition sets the tone of our business for decades to come," said David Hill, vice president of Kimray. "In the past five years, our revenue has increased 150 percent. Aquiring this facility allows us to grow even more."

The Dulaney's Inc. building was once a distribution point for refrigerators, elevision sets, air conditioners, and other major appliances to retailers. Dulaney's Inc. started with a small downtown store in 1938 that grew to sales of $50 million in 1980 as the only Whirlpool and RCA distribution center servicing the entire Oklahom aregion. The family business closed in 1993 as appliance manufactures began working with retailes directly instead of through distributors.

"I have a lot of memories in this building," siad Richard Dulaney. "I thik transitioning this space from one family-owned Oklahoma lbusiness to another is the best move our family could have made. This deal felt so right, it was made with a handshake between Tom dulaney and David Hill."
