Tom Hill – Chairman of the Board
Tom Hill is the Chairman of the Board for Kimray Inc., and has been working for the company since 1971. He has led Kimray as CEO for a number of years and uses his leadership to establish the company’s focus on character. This emphasis on character has led to an environment of integrity and strength of character that shows in Kimray products.
The character program created by Hill was so successful that he named it Character First and began the Character Training Institute, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating and training families, schools, businesses and other organizations. Since all lasting achievement is rooted in good character, the program helps individuals and families reach their full potential. Thousands of businesses, school districts, and communities in the United States and 28 foreign countries have implemented this new paradigm for personal growth since its inception in 1992. Hill is also the author of the book Making Character First.
Hill served seven years in the United States Marine Corps then earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. On March 29, 2012, Hill was awarded the prestigious NASBA Center for the Public Trust Being a Difference Award. This national award is given to an individual who practices high standards of ethical leadership in business. He was honored as the Oklahoma Central Baptist Association’s Christian Citizen of the Year in 1998, received the CBMC Salt and Light Award in 2002 and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Oklahoma Christian University in 2005.
Hill and his wife Kay have been married since 1963 and have three children and twenty grandchildren.
Steve Trice – President/CEO, Jasco Products Company -
Vice Chairman of the Board
Steve Trice founded Jasco Products Company in 1975. Jasco is one of the industry’s largest and fastest-growing marketers of consumer electronic accessories, computer accessories, home electric products, and security/surveillance products. Jasco as an exclusive GE licensee develops and markets more than 2,000 consumer products worldwide under the GE brand name.
Steve is also actively involved in Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC), chairing the CBMC/Oklahoma City Advisory Council and is chairman emeritus of CBMC/USA.
The Oklahoma City native holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Mid-America Christian University. He has been married to his wife, NeAnn, since 1972. They have two married sons who are both strong contributors to the success of Jasco.
Tom McCormick - Senior Vice President and Secretary of the Board
With more than 30 years of dedicated service at Kimray, Tom McCormick has spent his adult life improving oil and gas production. At Kimray, he began in customer service and worked his way up through the company, leading the forecasting department before being promoted to Vice President and then Senior Vice President. Prior to Kimray, he worked at NATCO Chemical, Shell and Pretrolite.
Mr. McCormick earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Oklahoma State University in 1963, and went on to complete an MS in Chemistry at Kansas State University. He holds a patent for paraffin removal from lease tanks, tubing and oil and gas pipelines. His international work experience includes China, Iran, Egypt, Venezuela and Mexico.
In addition to his work at Kimray, Mr. McCormick has been active in many professional organizations; currently he is a member of the American Association of Mechanical Engineers, the American Chemical Society and the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association. He has been a Kiwanis member since 1982, serving on the Benevolence Committee and is a past board member.
Kay Hill - Assistant Secretary of the Board
Kay Hill is the daughter of Garman Kimmell who was the founder of Kimray and President of Kimray for 57 years. Kay served her father as his secretary and financial assistant for 35 years. She is also married to Tom Hill.
She is the mother of three and a grandmother of twenty, grateful for being a stay-at home mom for almost 50 years. She has traveled with her husband to 17 foreign countries on six continents to teach Character First principles and helped her husband author the book, Making Character First, published in 2010.
Working closely with her father and husband for many years, she has a passion and vision for Kimray and a concern for the success of each employee.
Ben Manis – President, Reaching Souls International
Ben Manis has been with Reaching Souls almost from its inception, having joined the ministry as a full-time staff member in 1989. RSI has trained and supports over 1000 national pastors and evangelists in Central Africa. In the past 20 years, Ben has made over 80 trips to Africa, India, and Cuba acquiring valuable experience and insight in international business.
Prior to joining RSI, Ben owned a chain of retail electronics stores and had a successful career in the exploration, production, and transportation of oil and natural gas.
Ben has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. He became an ordained minister in 1989.
Ben and his wife, Linda, have two married sons and six grandchildren.
Jerry Wells – Senior Pastor, Western Hills Baptist Church
Jerry Wells graduated from Del City High School in 1973. At age 17, he received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord and immediately felt God calling him to preach. He attended college at Oklahoma Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Baylor University. He has been on staff at Western Hills Church since 1984.
Jerry is a seasoned communicator and teacher and during his twenty-eight years as a pastor, he has developed deep insight into what is necessary for personal and organizational success.
Jerry’s wife Debbie passed away on May 3, 2007. He is married to Saundra whose husband John passed away on Jan. 25, 2007. Jerry and Saundra have 12 children from their previous marriages and three grandchildren.
Mike O'Neal - President Emeritus, Oklahoma Christian University
While president, Mike O’Neal helped Oklahoma Christian reduce operating expenses, increase academic support, add 20 faculty, increase endowment funds and set multiple enrollment records. The University also completed a $34 million building project and a $60 million fundraising campaign.
Before joining Oklahoma Christian, O'Neal served Pepperdine University. A CPA, he worked with the accounting firms of Coopers & Lybrand; Touche, Ross & Co; and Ernst & Ernst. O'Neal completed his degree at Harding University in 1968, and his Juris Doctor from Stanford University in 1974.
O'Neal served on the boards of the Last Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the downtown Rotary Club 29 and the United Way and Mercy Hospital boards.
O'Neal is a member of the Church of Christ. O'Neal and his wife, Nancy, have two children.
